Initially I didn't read Rat Race because I didn't think it would teach me anything new after the other 2 books. Boy was I wrong! I'm a reasonably experienced entrepreneur (11 years, 4 businesses, some decent successes) and I have picked up some really useful things. So I wanted to come on here and say if anyone's sitting on the fence, just read it.

Having read Unscripted and Fastlane, I thought that this third book couldn't tell me much more. Damn was I wrong about that!
Brilliant, nothing more than brilliant, and this book has provided me with a new way to look at the world, with excitement and purpose. I really don't know where this road is going to take me, but I know that I am on a journey of a lifetime.

The Great Rat Race Escape is the best book on business that I've read. Loved the mix of theory and story with example. MJ DeMarco did a fantastic job, this one is my favorite and I'm already recommending it to people around me. Already applying it to my life and my life became something that I enjoy a lot more. Thank you!

On page 380 and can't put the bloody thing down!
Epic. It's re-lit my fire.

This was honestly my favorite book out of all 3. I loved how each fictional section is followed with an elaboration of the concepts presented in that section, the fictional and non-fictional sides of the book are juxtaposed very well. The book kept me hooked and wanting to figure out what happens next with the Trotmans. Looking forward to MJ's first entirely fictional book!
